
He was born August 5, 1946 in DeQueen, Arkansas to the late Dave Roger and the late Billie Burke. He was married to Tammy Parnell Rogers and he was a carpenter, but most enjoyed operating heavy equipment. He served his country in the United States Army. Jimmy tried to enjoy life to the fullest degree and tried to treat people as he would like to be treated. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Rogers of Grannis, Arkansas; daughters Shauna Johnson and husband Greg of Houston, Texas, Amy Stinson and husband Jerod of Carthage, Missouri, and Tracy Sharp of Grannis, Arkansas; sons Dave Rogers of Texarkana, Arkansas and Chris Sharp and wife Cari of Mena, Arkansas. He had 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Billie Rogers, and one grandchild.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Overturf Cemetery in Gillham, Arkansas with Brother Tim Smedley officiating under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Pallbearers will be Jerod Stinson, Chris Sharp, Eligh Julian, Gregory Briggs, Stan Alexander, Waymon Alexander, Michael Parnell and Patrick Parnell.
