The Cossatot senior high basketball teams recently competed in the annual Booneville Bearcats basketball tournament.

On Monday, November 27, the Eagles took on the hosting Booneville Bearcats, and fell short 52-34. Taking on Western Yell County in their next and final game of the tournament, the Cossatot senior boys won 51-30.
The Cossatot Lady Eagles didn’t play their first game of the tournament until Thursday, November 30, against Waldron. Cossatot defeated the Lady Bulldogs 57-24. Jade Richardson led the Lady Eagles with 16 points, while Raegan Richardson scored 13 points, and Ashlen Gonzalez 10 points.
Following their win against Waldron, the Lady Eagles moved on in the tournament to take on Danville. In the first quarter of the championship game, Cossatot outscored their opponents 23-6, and 15-13 in the second quarter, to take a 38-19 lead into halftime.
At halftime, Rhyen Martin led Cossatot with 12 points, while Jacie Wilkerson and Jade Richardson had 9 points.
In the second half of play, the Lady Eagles outscored Danville 27-18, to win by twenty-eight, 65-37. With seven total three pointers in the game, and twenty-two points, Jade Richardson won the tournament most-valuable-player. Also in scoring, Jacie Wilkerson scored 14 points, and Ryhen Martin 12 points.
On Tuesday, December 5, Cossatot basketball traveled to Oden, and on Friday, December 8, the junior girls, senior girls, and senior boys teams will host Mena.
