Lane’s pastel, American Beauty, recently placed 3rd in Mena Art Gallery’s National Juried Show, Art of the Heartland Exhibit that featured artwork from across the nation. In her most recent show, she also exhibits Tribute to a Firefighter, a stunning rendition of the American flag with firefighter memorabilia displayed in front.
Lane said she is thrilled to have been announced the third place winner. “This was my first ‘pastel only’ show, so it was very meaningful to me to be judged against artwork presented in my particular medium. I just feel very humbled to have received the honor…and thankful that God blessed me with the ability to paint,” Lane said.
Sunday Snooze, as well as all other displayed artwork from the show, will be on display and up for sale until February 26th at the Cox Creative Gallery in Little Rock.
