The Mena Lioness Lions Club is once again offering the Mena Lioness Lions Club Scholarship, for the fifth year in a row. Mena Lioness Lions Scholarships will be awarded to worthy individuals to assist them in obtaining higher education in their chosen field of endeavor. This scholarship is available to any college applicant residing in Polk County, Arkansas. The applicant does not have to be affiliated with the Mena Lioness Lions Club. The applicant must attend an accredited college or vocational/technical school.
The scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $1000. The recipient will receive their scholarship in two equal installments of $500 payable directly to their student account at the attending school. The first installment will be paid at the beginning of the school year and the second installment will be paid at the beginning of the 2nd semester or 2nd trimester.
A Lioness member or any relative of a member in good standing is eligible to apply for the Mena Lioness Lions Scholarship. However, the applicant does not have to be affiliated with the Mena Lioness Lions Club to apply.
