Lancaster Management Inc. [LMI], owners of The Mena Star & Ouachita Trading Post, announced last week that Clark Smith has been named as the new publisher, effective immediately. Smith replaces Joe Ben Oller, who according to the published report in the Thursday, February 20 issue of The Mena Star, “is no longer associated with the company.” The Mena Star currently has a circulation of 4,750.
LMI corporate headquarters is based out of Gadsden, Alabama and has ownership or holdings in 20 different newspapers in eight different states, including Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, Mississippi, Texas, Missouri, and Iowa, according to their website.
According to the report, Smith will also oversee newspapers in Waldron, Mansfield, and DeQueen.
