On Saturday, January 20th, the Mena 7th grade Bearcats and Ladycats competed in the Greenwood Jamboree.
In the Ladycats’ first game, the A-team fell to hosting Greenwood 22-9, as the B-team also lost 12-2. In their second game, the Ladycats A-team took on Ozark and won 20-6, as Emily Machler and Keira Hall led the team with 4 points each. The Ladycats B-team also matched up against Ozark and tied 4-4. In the final games of the jamboree, the Ladycats A-team defeated Northridge Van Buren 14-11, as Avery Cannon and Vivian Denton led with 4 points each. In the B-team game, Mena also won 12-2.
Also competing in the jamboree, the 7th grade varsity Bearcats won both of their games, with wins against Greenwood and Ozark, as the 7th grade junior-variety teams went 1-1.
