(MENA) Mena Public School Bus Drivers underwent their annual training on Tuesday at the Performing Arts Center.
According to the district, these professionals are a great asset & are very much appreciated.
With the training, drivers are up to date on various changes with state laws and other policies that the district has in place.
In addition, the school board approved the purchase of two 2012 Blue Bird school buses that will keep the fleet up to date with their purchase for $25,000. The district wants to ensure that the students and its drivers have the most optimum pieces of equipment for safety and reliability.
The new school year begins on August 14th.
