August 18, 2013

Officers responded to an alarm call at a local business.  The area was secured.

Daniel K. Urban, 23, of Waldron was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear.  He was arrested in Sebastian County.  Mena city officers drove to Fort Smith and brought him back to the Polk County detention center.

August 19, 2013

Someone slit all four tires on “Flossie,” the Dodge police car from the 1930’s owned by the city of Mena.  It is housed at the depot.  Case is pending.

A Mena woman reported that she and her family are constantly being harassed by two local neighbor youths.  Case has been sent to the juvenile authorities.

Report was taken of the theft of the contents of a wallet from the library.  A woman was using a computer at the library.  When she left she forgot to get her wallet.  When she returned she found that the wallet had been emptied of all cash.  Case is pending review of surveillance tape and interview of suspects.

Jarrell Ray Czarnetzki, 21, of Mena was charged with possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with intent to deliver, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, and distribution with enhanced penalties for distribution near certain facilities.

Officers have requested a warrant for a local man for possession of drug paraphernalia.  The incident involved a visit by probation officers to a local home.

August 20, 2013

Report was taken of neighborhood children vandalizing a local woman’s yard.  Case is pending interview of suspects.

Gary Eugene Allen, 32, of Mena was charged with DWI (second offense), reckless driving, driving on a licenses suspended for DWI, having no vehicle registration, having no liability insurance, not wearing a seat belt, and refusal to submit to a BAC.

August 21, 2013

A local woman reported that someone had broken into her apartment and taken several items of clothing and household items.  Case is pending interview of suspect.

Jason E. Tomblin, 35, of Mena was charged with theft and theft by receiving after a call to a local plumbing business regarding stolen items.

Mark L.A. Fussell, 25, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Sebastian County.

August 22, 2013

A local man reported that someone had broken into his apartment while he was away for the day.  Case is pending.

A Mississippi woman reported that her prescription pain medication was taken out of her purse by an acquaintance.  Case pending.

Jason E. Tomblin, 35, of Mena was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant.

August 23, 2013

A local man reported that his stepdaughter is being harassed by a local youth.  Case is pending.

A Mena woman reported that her wallet had been stolen.  Case is pending interview of suspect.

August 24, 2013

A local woman reported the theft of several pieces of antique glassware from a house she owns.  Case is pending further investigation and interview of suspects.

Sean T. Henry, 20, and Wayne Lanham, 20, both of Mena were charged with theft of property after an incident at Janssen Park.  Lanham was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

Employees at a local convenience store reported a gas-skip in the amount of $77.10.  Case pending review of surveillance tapes.

Kenneth McCormick, 18, of Grannis was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A local woman reported that someone stole her wallet.  Case is pending further investigation.

Michael R. Clark, 28, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A local woman reported that her former boyfriend is harassing her.  Case is pending.

August 30, 2013

A Mena woman reported that someone had stolen her wallet.  Case is pending.

August 31, 2013

A local man reported that someone had vandalized his car by kicking and denting a rear door.  The incident happened when one of his friends borrowed the car.  The friend’s former boyfriend allegedly did the damage.  Case is pending.

A Mena woman reported that someone had broken her kitchen window.  Case is pending.

Officers responded to an alarm at a local bank.  The area was secure.

Officers responded to an alarm at a local medical facility.  The area was secure.

Officers completed an additional 17 reports and worked seven accidents.
