The following information was received from Mena law enforcement agencies. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
October 13, 2013
Officers responded to an altercation between a man and his adult daughter at a local residence. The woman left and no charges were filed.
Officers responded to a verbal altercation between a man and his son-in-law. No charges were filed.
October 14, 2013
Employees at a local convenience store reported that a man tried to pass a counterfeit $20.00 bill. He had already left the store when they called.

October 16, 2013
A local man reported that two of his tires had been slit while he was in church. Case is pending interview of suspect.
Brent Sockey, 18, of Mena was charged with breaking or entering, theft of property, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after a call regarding a break-in at the concession stand at a local park. Also charged in the incident with theft of property and breaking or entering were two Mena youths, ages 16 and 17.
Michael Thomas, 27, of Mena was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was served an outstanding warrant.
Alicia D. Powell, 37, of Mena was charged with forgery after an investigation into an altered prescription from a Hot Springs doctor.
Officers responded to an altercation between a brother and sister regarding who had power-of-attorney for an aging relative. Case is pending.
Dylan Carter, 19, of Mena, was arrested for loitering after several calls regarding someone begging for money on local parking lots. He also had an outstanding warrant from Arkadelphia
October 17, 2013
A 14-year-old Mena boy was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and possession of tobacco by a minor.
Report was taken of a verbal altercation between a local couple. They had resolved the problem when officers arrived and no charges were filed.
Donald Keith Bradley, 39, and Dawn Bradley, 41 both of Mena were arrested on an outstanding warrants.
October 18, 2013
A local woman reported that she had lost her purse while she was shopping at a local grocery store.
October 19, 2013
Debra Brashears, 43, of Mena was arrested for third degree battery.
Daniel Ray Stidham, 49, of Mena, was charged with third degree battery.
Officers completed an additional 12 reports and worked seven accidents.
