Officials are urging all motorists to stay off roadways if at all possible. Extreme flash flooding has numerous roadways throughout the county impassable.
All possible personnel are sandbagging and assisting stranded motorists. National Guard has brought in two high-water trucks to assist local officials with possible rescue efforts.
Officials urge motorists to not drive through flooded areas. If you see flood waters, remember to turn around and DO NOT drown.
City and county crews will be out early to assess the damage from this mammoth rainfall that has dropped 3.62 inches of rain within 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 7 inches throughout the day.
