BY LARRY BLOCK –
The Ouachita Little Theatre (OLT) will hold its first ever, giant rummage sale, on Saturday, September 7, starting at 8 am, and running till 4:00 PM. The location is the parking lot of the main branch of First National Bank, across from the Mena Train Depot.
The categories of items included in the sale are: power tools, home appliances, furniture, books, dishes, cookware, linens and bedding, and exercise equipment. An example of some of the items already donated are a three-year-old refrigerator, a Jack La Lane juicer, a meat slicer, a queen bed frame, a craftsman router, an entertainment center, a TV/VCR, a computer, various power tools, a dishwasher, and a woman’s bicycle. Many more items will be included by the time the rummage sale occurs. Clothing will not be included in this sale.
If you have items to donate, plan to deliver them between 6:30 AM and 7 AM, to the First National Bank parking lot and then stay to shop. As the old saying goes, “One person’s junk may be someone else’s treasure.” The OLT requests that donors price their own items in advance, based on their own past experiences with garage and rummage sales. If you have items to donate but are unable to drop them off yourself, please leave a message at (479) 243-0186 and someone will return your call to arrange for them to be picked up. The OLT asks that donations be in good working order with all parts included.
