Polk County Arraignments

The following information was received from Polk County law enforcement agencies. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed, or that they have been found innocent, and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

Mathew M. Evans, white male, 54,is accused of one count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, more than two grams but less than 10 grams, a class C felony, on Aug. 8; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia for the purpose of using methamphetamine, a class D felony. Enhanced penalties are being pursued because the defendant has been convicted of more than 1, but fewer than 4 felonies.

Stoney Ray Lockaby, white male, 45, is accused of one count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than two grams, a class D felony, on May 26; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, to use methamphetamine, a class D felony.

Richard Frank Silverman, white male, 47, is accused of one count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than two grams, a class D felony, on June 13; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, to use methamphetamine, a class D felony. He is also accused of one count of failure to appear on Sept. 9, a class C felony.
