Polk County Sheriff’s Department – April 14 – 20, 2014

The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of April 14 – April 20, 2014.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

April 14, 2014

Report from complainant on North Reine Street in Mena of vandalism done at a construction site, causing $25,000.00 in damages.  Investigation continues.

Report of an attempted theft on Polk 28 near Hatfield led to the arrest of William D. Seaton, 34, of Hatfield, on Charges of Theft of Property and Criminal Trespass.  Additional information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Quinn Lane near the Potter community of the theft of firearms and damage to a camper trailer, totaling losses at $8,000.00.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from walk-in complainant of being harassed by an individual.  Officer advised all involved parties to cease all contact with one another.

Report from complainant on Polk 189 near Mena of the unauthorized use of a vehicle.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Arrested was Juan C. Luna, 31, of Horatio, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

April 15, 2014

Report from complainant on Highway 246 West near Hatfield of the theft of firearms, valued at $1,000.00.  Investigation continues.

April 16, 2014

Report of a missing electronic device resulted in a 12-year-old Mena male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Theft of Property.  The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Arrested was Paul B. Fraser, 47, of Ashdown, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police was Michael V. Fuquay, 35, of Vandervoort, on Warrants for Failure to Appear and Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police was Ernest B. J. Richardson, 34, of Vandervoort, on a Charge of Speeding and a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

April 17, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 659 in the Board Camp community of the theft of a wood stove and copper wire, totaling losses at $1,350.00.  Investigation continues.

April 18, 2014

Report from walk-in complainant of being harassed by a family member.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from Mena Regional Health System of an assault victim.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 49 near the Shady Grove community led to the arrest of David A. Garrison, 53, of Mena, on Charges of Domestic Battery 3rd Degree and Disorderly Conduct.

Report of a non-compliant individual led to the arrest of Sean P. Osborn, 18, of Mena, on a Charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Arrested was James E. Carver, 21, of Haworth, OK, on a Charge of Public Intoxication.

No reports were filed.

April 20, 2014

Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 226 near Cove led to the arrest of Thomas E. Blume, 20, of Cove, on a Charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.
