Polk County Sheriff’s Department – April 7 – 13, 2014

The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of April 7 – April 13, 2014.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

April 7, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 90 near the Acorn community of being threatened by an individual.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Arrested was Trevis L. Hubbs, 23, of Mena, on a Charge of Rape.

Report of a disturbance led to a 15-year-old Mena female being issued a Juvenile Citation for Battery 3rd Degree.

Report of a vehicle striking a gas meter and breaking it off on Highway 246 East near Vandervoort.

Report of an attempted theft on Polk 76 East near Mena led to the arrest of Matthias C. Aviles, 23, of Mena, on a Charge of Criminal Trespass and Possession of Methamphetamine.  Also, a 17-year-old Cove male was issued a Juvenile Citation for Criminal Trespass.  The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

April 8, 2014

Report from complainant on Strider Lane near Mena of the theft of a firearm, valued at $150.00.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 32 near Cove led to the arrest of Brandon Riddle, 22, of Cove, on Charges of Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and Intimidating a Witness.

Report from complainant on Polk 28 near Hatfield of vandalism at their residence.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Cameron D. Foster, 21, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Cody B. Dehart, 27, of Mena, on a Warrant for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

April 9, 2014

Arrested was Dustin Belknap, 35, of Smithville, OK, on a Warrant for Theft by Receiving.

Report from complainant on Highway 8 East near the Board Camp community of being harassed by an individual.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a disturbance on Highway 246 East near Vandervoort.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

April 10, 2014

Arrested was Megan R. Frederick, 24, of Hatfield, on Warrants for Violation of Suspended Imposition of Sentence and Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

April 11, 2014

Traffic stop on Highway 8 West near the Shady Grove community led to the arrest of Michael J. Eisenhauer, 33, of Mena, on Charges of DWI, Driving Left of Center and Careless/Prohibited Driving.

Arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Parks was Daniel J. Peikert, 40, of Mena, on a Warrant for Theft of Property.

Arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department was Leslie N. Gillaspy, 36, of Wickes, on a Warrant for Theft of Property.

April 12, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 178 near Mena that someone broke the back glass out of a vehicle and stole a wallet containing cash and personal information.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Highway 88 East near the Ink community of the destruction of outdoor furniture, resulting in $120.00 in losses.  Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious material led to a 13-year-old Wickes male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver.  A 14-year-old Cove male and a 13-year-old Hatfield male were each issued Juvenile Citations for Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance.  All juvenile were released to the custody of parent/guardians.

Report from complainant on Polk 19 near Cove of being threatened.  Officer responded, advised all parties to cease all contact with one another.

Report from complainant on Polk 15 near the Hatton community of the break-in of a family residence, and the theft of three firearms.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Polk 42 near Mena of the loss of a trailer license while traveling from his residence to Heber Springs.

Arrested was Jessica Y. Siler, 30, of Mena, on a Warrant for nine counts of Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law.

Arrested was Tabathia A. White, 25, of Dequeen, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

Report of a vehicle accident on Highway 375 East near Mena that damaged driver side mirrors of both vehicles.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked two vehicle accidents this week.
