Polk County Sheriff’s Department – January 6 – 12, 2014

The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of January 6 – January 12, 2014.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

January 6, 2014

Report of a disturbance on South Mena Street in Hatfield led to the arrest of Jamie R. Arce, 30, of Hatfield, on Charges of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Disorderly Conduct.

Report from complainant on Polk 63 near the Yocana community of forged checks.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance at the Polk County Detention Center.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

January 7, 2014

Arrested was Jamie R. Arce, 30, of Hatfield, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

Arrested was Anthony M. Robertson, 23, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Jason M. Knight, 23, of Paris, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

January 8, 2014

Report from complainant on Davis Lane near Mena of an individual breaking a window, causing damages of $92.67.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a disturbance on Davis Lane near Mena where an individual had entered a residence uninvited.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Polk 188 near the Acorn community of the theft of a vehicle valued at $4,000.00.  Investigation continues.

January 9, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 18 near Cove of the theft of a firearm, valued at $150.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Joseph F. Hinkle, 36, of Cove, on Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order and Failure to Appear.

January 10, 2014

Arrested was James D. Cochran, 30, of Hatfield, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested were Felicia M. Zimmerman, 24, of Cleveland, TX, and Antonio W. Peek, 46, of Hatfield, each on Charges of Public Intoxication and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Arrested was Heather D. Boehler, 40, of Mena, on a Warrant for Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law.

Arrested was Robert J. Mcgee, 33, of Mena, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

January 11, 2014

Report from complainant on Shadow Lane near Mena of the theft of electronics and a bow, totaling losses at $1,000.00.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 76 East near Mena.  Officers responded, one of the parties left the residence.

Traffic stop on Polk 63 near the Cherry Hill community led to the arrest of Korie N. Wilhite, 22, of Mena, on a Charge of Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.  Also arrested was Ashley D. Chumley, 32, of Mena, on a Sevier County Warrant.

 January 12, 2014

Report from complainant on West Boundary Road near Mena of being assaulted by an acquaintance.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Polk 418 near the Potter community of the theft of a motorcycle, valued at $4,000.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Highway 71 South near Cove of vandalism to a residence and the theft of copper.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Nancy K. Spencer, 45, of Mena, on a Charge of Obstructing Governmental Operations.

Arrested was Taylor D. Dees, 21, of Cove, on Charges of DWI-Drugs and Speeding.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked three vehicle accidents this week.
