The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of May 26 – June 1, 2014. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

Report from complainant on Deer Run Lane near Mena of the theft of copper wire valued at $300.00. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on Kings Circle in Hatfield of damage to a deck board. Complainant chose to not press charges.
May 27, 2014
Arrested was Van L. Holman, Jr., 21, of Mena, on a Charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested was Ethan A. Ross, 19, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Use of a Communication Device.
Report from complainant on Polk 301 near the Cherry Hill community of the theft of a camper trailer. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on Polk 419 near the Potter community of alleged theft of phone services. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on School Street in Cove of a dog bite. Officer attempted to speak with the owner of the dog. Investigation continues.
May 28, 2014
Arrested was Alexander M. Solomon, 27, of Mena, on a Charge of Absconding.
Arrested was Michael V. Fuquay, 35, of Cove, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.
Arrested by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police was Neo L. Ruiz Ruiz, 28, of Mena, on a Charge of No Driver’s License.

Report from complainant on Polk 227 near the Vandervoort community that an unauthorized person had been in their residence. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 47 near the Rocky community. One of the parties left the residence for the evening.
Arrested by an officer with Probation and Parole was John K. Robertson, 39, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.
Arrested by an officer with the U.S. Forest Service was David A. Pajuodis, 38, of Mena, on a Charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.

Report from complainant on Rock Creek Lane near the Potter community of being threatened by a neighbor. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a domestic disturbance on Highway 4 West near Cove led to the arrest of Johnny R. Sheets, Jr., 37, of Cove, on a Charge of Domestic Battery 3rd Degree.
Report from complainant on Polk 266 near the Vandervoort community of a possible theft. Officer determined the issue was a civil matter.
Report from complainant on Polk 76 East near Mena of damage to a rental property led to the arrest of Curtis D. Yates, 39, of Mena, on Charges of Committing a Terroristic Act and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
June 1, 2014
Arrested was Levi R. Cottman, 23, of Mena, on a Body Attachment Warrant and a Barton County, Kansas Warrant. Also arrested was Anthony W. Cottman, 26, of Mena, on Charges of Battery 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest and a Body Attachment Warrant.
Arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department was Eduardo Ramirez, 23, of Grannis, on Charges of DWI and Reckless Driving.
Arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department was Sabrina J. Miranda, 26, of Grannis, on Charges of Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.
Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 34 Incarcerated Inmates; 18 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility, of which 5 are currently out of jail on a monitoring system.
