Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 133 near Acorn in reference to an unattended death.

 

February 25, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on East 4th Street near Vandervoort in reference to threats being made. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

 

February 26, 2025

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a stolen vehicle.

 

February 27, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 648 near Mena in reference to a welfare check.

Deputies responded to a report of an altercation near Ink.

 

February 28, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 219 near Wickes in reference to child custody.

Joshua Heifner, 23, of Mena was arrested by an officer with Probation Parole on two Failure to Appear Warrants and to be held for another agency.

Keleb Rushin, 24, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Comply with Registraion and Reporting Requirements Warrant.

Guillermo Ordaz, 31, of Fort Smith was arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Police on charges of DWI, No Driver’s License, Fail to Maintain Lane, and to be held for another agency.

 

March 1, 2025

Deputies responded to a report of a lock and chain being removed from a gate at a resdience near Acorn.

Zachary Smith, 25, of Hatfield was arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Police on charges of DWI and Careless and Prohibited Driving.

 

March 2, 2025

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to missing individuals. The individuals were later located.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hideaway Lane near Gillham in reference to a trespasser.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 1 vehicle accident this week.
