A traffic stop on Mena Street in Mena led to the arrest of Joseph Lawrence, 43, of Mena on charges of Driving on a Suspended License and Disorderly Conduct.

Dillon Harris, 45, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for 1st Degree Terroristic Threatening and 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.

Deputies responded to a report of an incident at a business near Acorn.

 

December 23, 2025

Deputies responded to a report of vandalism at a business near Hatfield.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complaint in reference to a prior altercation.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to threats being made.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 290 near Cove in reference to a child custody dispute.

Deputies were dispatched to Polk 42 near Mena in reference to a suspicious person leading to the arrest of Lance Pace, 49, of Hot Springs Village on a charge of Public Intoxication.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to harassment. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

 

December 24, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 71 S near Hatfield in reference to an unattended death.

December 26, 2025

Deputies responded to a report of a possible missing person. The subject was later located.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a scam.

 

December 27, 2025

Deputies responded to a report of an altercation leading to the arrest of Raphael Overturf, 20, of Mena on charges of 3rd Degree Domestic Battery, Interference with Emergency Communication, Violation of a No Contact Order, and Disorderly Conduct. Also arrested was Jody Cook, 19, of Mena on a charge of Violation of a No Contact Order. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 88 W in reference to an unknown injury.

 

December 28, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Jennie Lane near Mena in reference to threats being made.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Heritage Lane near Hatfield in reference to a structure fire.

Deputies were dispatched to a business near Cove in reference to a battery that had occurred.

Troy Cearley, 27, of Cove was arrested on charges of Drinking in Public, Obstructing Governmental Operations, and a Cruelty to Animals Warrant.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 3 vehicle accidents this week.
