Our fearless, no wait, let’s make that fretful, Attorney General, Eric Holder, has more new plans for protecting the rights of certain individuals, and as with Orwell’s Animal Farm, some animals are rapidly becoming more equal than others. The man is obsessed with making sure no one should be investigated or God forbid, arrested, if they belong to any form of minority in America, or anywhere else. Thanks to Holder, Washington will soon be increasing the parameters of racial profiling definitions to completely ban U.S. agents from including national origin, race, or religion in investigations. While this might sound good at first glance, what this really means is that investigating anyone, let alone arresting them, for anything, has just become far more difficult, and anyone, arrested for anything, who can claim a Middle Eastern religion or a minority affiliation of just about any sort, now has a way to beat their charges. Holder passed this new information on to his buddy, New York City Mayor Bill Blasio, in a recent meeting. (“Hey Bill, good news. Now you can’t arrest anyone anymore who might be from someplace else, or with a religion other than say, Christianity.”)
Apparently Holder has been receiving criticism from Muslims and Latinos for focusing on them in counter-terrorism investigations. The explanation of this new bag of kindness and understanding being defined by Holder as “preventing crime while protecting civil rights and civil liberties.”
Hate to tell you this, Mr. Attorney General, but most of the people coming over the border with the intent of doing America harm are Muslims and Latinos. And as far as Mayor de Blasio goes, he’s the original champion of anything that stops police from protecting citizens. His platform for election was to end the New York City Police Department’s “stop-and-frisk” tactic, under which police officers stop and question hundreds of thousands of pedestrians a year, and if necessary, frisk them for weapons and other contraband. He fought this because, the vast majority of these people have been black and Latino, and civil liberties groups were complaining… (Did anyone remind him that 89 percent of the murders in New York are committed by blacks and Latinos? And that these same stratums also commit 96 percent of the other crimes in the city?)
Our Federal and State enforcement agencies are being hamstrung across the nation because of a plethora of new civil rights regulations, most of which are aimed at protecting Muslims, but let’s face it, nearly everyone’s getting on this new bandwagon. We are rapidly becoming a nation of starry-eyed idiots that can’t imagine anyone being bad – second and third chances are the pillars of our judicial and criminal system, and when we find ourselves threatened by outside (or interior) factions our first reaction is to go down the latest list to see if we’re allowed to stop, question, or apprehend them. Our cities are coming apart at the seams – violent crime is on the rise, we are being attacked, hacked, and bombed in a fashion this country has never experienced, and all we seem to be interested in is the well-being and the civil rights of our assailants.
We have a president who came to this country on documents no one can verify, and ran on a name he made up, and since his election has turned into more of a dictator than a civil servant while protecting every Middle East /Muslim faction and absurd civil rights organization that promises to change this nation.
But then, we probably should have been paying more attention half a dozen years ago. He promised “change” didn’t he?
