MAGNOLIA, AR — Southern Arkansas University recently inducted 53 students into the Teacher Education Program.
Future educators from this area who were honored included:
Cheyenne Bell, of Cove, is a junior Agricultural Education major.
Michelle Cox, of Mena, is a senior Elementary Education (K-6) major.
Jamie Grasman, of Mena, is a junior Elementary Education (K-6) major.
Charlotte Keeler, of Cove, is a junior Elementary Education (K-6) major.
Tiffanie Kelems, of Mena, is a junior Elementary Education (K-6) major.
Jerusha Tedder, of Mena, is a junior Elementary Education (K-6) major.
The SAU College of Education (COE) held the Teacher Education Induction Ceremony on November 13, 2017. Students were recognized for meeting the program’s entrance requirements over the past year and were formally admitted into the COE. Jeremiah Williams, an SAU alumnus and outstanding educator, provided a motivational message for inductees, their guests, and the SAU faculty and staff who were in attendance. A reception, made possible by SAU’s Education Renewal Zone, was provided for all attendees following the ceremony.
