WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) was honored earlier this week by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
“As a former small business owner I understand the importance of empowering our job creators. That’s why I’m proud to support policies that promote economic growth. I am honored to receive this recognition and I will continue to work with Arkansas members of the Chamber of Commerce to help our businesses thrive,” Boozman said.
“We are pleased to recognize Sen. Boozman for engaging in pro-business policymaking that helps strengthen our nation’s spirit of enterprise,” said Tom Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “The Spirit of Enterprise Award honors those members of Congress who are committed to ensuring that American businesses can continue to operate and succeed in a free enterprise system.”
For 28 years, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has presented its “Spirit of Enterprise” award to members of Congress on an annual basis for supporting the organization’s key votes.
During the first session of the 114th Congress, the Chamber scored members on 14 Senate votes including reauthorizing the Terrorism Rick Insurance Act, supporting the Keystone XL pipeline, lifting the crude oil export ban and passage of the first long-term transportation law in a decade.
