WASHINGTON – Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-04) issued the following statement in response to the Obama administration’s directive ordering schools to allow transgender students to use the bathroom of their gender choice:
“Last night, the Obama administration made our children political pawns in a move that promotes perversion,” Westerman said. “Threatening our local schools over who uses which restrooms is an attempt to bully local schools into accepting an offensive, radical social agenda. I will not stand for this attack on children, nor will the American people. I condemn in the strongest terms the actions of the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice and will work with my House colleagues on an answer that ensures local schools continue to have local control without interference and intimidation from Washington.”

Guess what Bruse? The transgender voters you are refering to, they are our children, cousins, brothers, sisters!!! Sometimes moms and dads!!!! I do not see how this is an attack on children!! People need to be able to identify with the person in their heads which unfortunately, does not always align with the physical characteristics they are born with. READ A MEDICAL JOURNAL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!! Oh, and who carries around their birth certificates anyway????

I am very pleased at your position on this issue. We seem to have become so uber-sensitive that we now allow the micro-minority sections of America to dictate policy, behavior and even laws to the masses. This seems totally opposite of my interpretation of the constitutional amendments. Time for the masses to again run the country. Then there is the matter of what I deem perverse behavior. My wife and daughters are now carrying scissors in their purses for that day when opposite members enter the ladies room while they are in there. It “will” be a trans-gender moment on the spot.
