The Mena’s top runner, Clint Buck came in 1st in the senior boys division with a time of 18 minutes and 14 seconds on the 3.1 mile run. Robert McIntyre placed 8th, and Anthony Kennedy placed 9th. Also running for the Mena boys were Dustin Dilbeck, Drew Plunkett, Josh Swint, and Jordan Foster.
Running for the Mena girls were Abbie Smith who placed 10th, Evie Smith, and Taylor Harper. Clint Buck, Robert McIntyre, Abbie Smith, and Evie Smith will all run in the elite Chili Pepper Run in Fayetteville this Saturday.
Acorn had several compete as well. The junior boys placed 3rd as a team with Tyler Bates placing 2nd overall, Kenny Denley 5th, and Brady Lyle, Jeb Willborg and Leo Jacinto rounded out Acorn’s top five. The junior girls placed 6th as a team as 7th Grader, Ashlynn Bissell, placed 6th overall, and Sophie Jackson, Makenna Goss, Stormy Bodwell, and Makayla Anderson were Acorn’s top five fininshers.
