This year’s kids’ Fishing Derby dates have been announced for the event that is held annually by the U.S. Forestry Service. The Mena/Oden Ranger District will head up the local event that will be held at the Rifle Range Pond on May 27th. Registration begins at 7 a.m. that morning, with the derby beginning at 8 a.m., and ending around 10:30 a.m. Children ages 2 to 12 are welcome to join. Prizes will be awarded.
The event is being held via a partnership between Arkansas Game and Fish, Magic Bait, the Oden Wood and Water Club, and the U.S. Forest Service. For more information, contact the Mena/Oden Ranger District at 479-394-2382.
