
Mr. Suckow was born May 8, 1947 in West Lake, Ohio to the late Clifford Suckow and the late Hazel Behring Suckow. He was married to Dorothy Kendell Suckow until her death. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1971. Russell worked as a feed store manager. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was active in the American Legion in Ohio. Most of all he enjoyed and loved his family and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving and kind father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all.
He is survived by daughters, Teresa Suckow Townzen of Mena, Arkansas and Karen Newman; grandchildren, PJ Robinson, Charles Smith, Jesse Townzen, Robert Townzen, Tina Tugman, Cynthia Mauppins, Melissa Townzen, Heather Newman, Matt Townzen, Sr., Cody Roberts, Timmy Newman, Jr., and Christopher Brown; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Hazel Suckow, wife, Dorothy Suckow, son, Raymond Suckow, and a great-granddaughter, Kylee Lynelle Townzen.
Mr. Suckow was sent for cremation under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
