Robert Earl Jones, 34, of Mena was charged with third degree battery. The arrest followed a call to a local residence regarding an altercation.
A local woman reported seeing two young men break a window in a building. They were charged with criminal mischief and referred to juvenile authorities.
January 21, 2019
A local man reported that his wife had stolen a gun from him. Case is pending further investigation.
Audrey Simmons, 32, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Mena Police Department.
January 22, 2019
A local man reported that someone had stolen a pickup from his residence. Case is pending location and interview of suspect.
Report was made of someone forging checks on a local business account. Case is pending further investigation.
January 23, 2019
Two 15-year-old Polk County youths were charged with disorderly conduct, third degree battery, and insult or injury of an authority figure. Case was referred to juvenile authorities.
Tyler Ray Ruiz, 23 of Muldrow, OK was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Mena Police Department. He was stopped in Sebastian County and Mena officers traveled there to bring him back to Polk County.
January 24, 2019
Report was made of a local man harassing and threatening a local woman. Case is pending further investigation and interview of suspect.
January 25, 2019
Michael Phillips, 50, of Mena was charged with DWI, having no driver’s license, no vehicle tags, and no insurance. The arrest followed a traffic stop.
January 26, 2019
Patricia Miner, 47, of Mena, was charged with theft of property (shoplifting) after officers responded to a call at a local retail store.
Matthew Whitehead, 33, of Mena was charged with DWI and failure to stop after an accident.
Charles Czarnetzki, 44, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant from Sebastian County.
