Over the last couple of years, Mena Art Gallery has had a series of classes demonstrating ways to make delicious bread, and now we’re ready to ask you to join us for a very special lunch. On January 25 at 11:30 am we will serve soup and homemade breads. All of the $10 fee for lunch goes to support the gallery.
The menu will offer a choice of two kinds of soup: a creamy shrimp potato chowder and a beef and barley vegetable soup. Several of the attendees of the class will be bringing their favorite bread, so you will have a choice there also. Recipes will be available for any of the soups or breads that you would like to try at home.
There will be time for tales of your successes and your “learning experiences” in bread-making. I’ve had quite a few of the latter!
So brave the winter weather and join us. If you’d like more information, please call the gallery at 479-394-3880 during regular gallery hours: 11 am to 2 pm Tuesdays and 10 am to 3 pm Wednesdays through Fridays.
And set aside a few extra minutes when you come to see the January exhibit that will still be on display then—there is some fabulous work this time and all by local artists.
