
Betty was born on June 9, 1934 in Mena, Arkansas to the late James R. Wood and Lola V. Gorden Wood. She was married to the late Gene “AE” Titsworth. Betty enjoyed teaching school and also worked as a Social Case Worker for the Department of Human Services. She had a deep passion for teaching her Sunday School class and the Sister’s Circle meetings. Betty also loved doing Genealogy and taking care of stray cats. Most of all she loved God and her family. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by nephews, Michael Burnett of Mena, Arkansas, John Burnett of Mena, Arkansas; great-nieces, Jacquelin Burnett of Mena, Arkansas, Melissa Boothe of Bentonville, Arkansas; great-nephews, David Burnett of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Jesse Burnett of Durango, Colorado; special friend, James Upperman of Mena, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene “EA” Titsworth, and a sister, Loraine Burnett.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 15, 2017, 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Methodist with Pastor Bryan Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Nunley Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Visitation is general.
Pallbearers will be Mike Burnett, John Burnett, James Upperman, and Jeff Sizemore.
