Carl Edward Grogan

Carl Edward Grogan, age 86, passed away December 6, 2019 in his home with all of his family with him.  He was born August 5, 1933 to Alvin and Della Tackett Grogan in Brushy, Arkansas.  He married Carolyn Ann Horstman May 23, 1953 in Berryville, Arkansas.  He enjoyed his family and loved spending time with his grandkids.  His hobbies included working and building things with wood, gardening, fishing and being outdoors.  He retired from 27 years with U. S. Motors.  He created many great memories with everyone and will be forever loved and remembered.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Della, his brothers Pete, Gene and Jack and his sisters Irene, Helen and Virginia, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Al and Louise Horstman, and great-granddaughters Ashlyn Grogan and Haley Dawn Grogan.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn Grogan, their children, Karla Bruce and husband Chris, John Grogan and wife Glenda, Jerry Grogan and wife Laura, Sandra Broach and husband Ricky, and Charles Grogan and wife Patti; 3 brothers Robert Grogan and wife Odessa of Campo, Colorado; Howard Grogan and wife Thelva of Bartlett, Illinois and Harold Grogan of Berryville, Arkansas; also 12 grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren: Brad Grogan and Samantha Barrett and son Jake; Brent and Jamie Grogan and daughter Faith; John and Tara Grogan and daughters Addison and Mallory; Jon and Brandi Grogan and daughters Madison, Mallory, Macey and Meldoy; Tom and Brittany Grogan and children Desarae, Shaela, Penelope, Garrett and Tori; Jerrod Grogan and children James, Jeremiah, Jessica, Niya, Juliana and John John; David and McKeena Garcia and daughter Emilia; Daniel Garcia; Rudy Garcia; Carl Broach and children Tommy, Michelle, Jayden, Anastasia and Cheyenne; C. J. and Jimmi Broach and son Curtis; Charlie and Jennifer Broach and daughter Kadence; Jacki and Montana Speight and children Raeleigh, Jake, Kambri and Jackson; Valeri and Chris Woods and sons Christian and Caseyn; Staci and Hunter Johnson; and expecting grandchildren #34 and #35 in the coming year.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Penuel Assembly of God Church in Hatfield, Arkansas with Brother Scott Horstman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Arley Stinson, Leroy Beck, Mike Oglesby, L. J. Dugan, Glen Pate and Espye Magar.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Steven Forrest, Elite Home Health nurses, Elite Hospice nurses, Clay Sickles, Randy Oglesby, Clancy Fairless and Danny Richarson.
