Hatfield’s City Street Project request submitted to the State Aid City Street Committee at the June 15, 2016 meeting has been approved, reports Hatfield Mayor Linda Denton. The $250,000 project will overlay streets with leveling, patching, base repair, rehab, and some surfacing. Mershon Drive (by Hatfield Lumber Co., Smith Pallet Co., and Rich Mt. Lumber Co.) and part of Mullins Street are set to receive the improvements.
Denton received the news from Steve Morgan, Senior Design Engineer, State Aid Division, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, while attending the Arkansas Municipal League Annual Convention in Little Rock June 15-17. The project is expected to begin in 2017.
