Cotton Statement on the Financial Action Task Force’s Announcement on Iranian Restrictions
Washington, D.C.— Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the Obama administration’s efforts to encourage trade and investment in Iran and the Financial Action Task Force’s announcement that it would suspend some of its restrictions against Iran:
“While President Obama is pulling out all the stops to revive the Iranian economy, his no-growth domestic policies are suffocating our economy. That he is spending the waning days of his presidency on ensuring that the world’s top state sponsor of terrorism makes billions of dollars is an insult to hard-working Americans and a disaster for U.S. national security.”
