Hughes Releases Album

“New Beginnings” is the debut album of local singer/songwriter Sherry Parker Hughes. Produced by Laughing Moose Studio and recorded by Drapp Studios in Tulsa, OK, “New Beginnings” is  available for digital download on CDBaby.com.   CD’s are available and can be ordered from CDBaby.com or direct from the artist. They will also be available at The Mercantile-booth #15.

Having grown up in a home filled with Hank Williams, Flatt and Scruggs, and numerous other “old-time” singers, Hughes developed a love for traditional music. Add teenage years filled with John Denver, The Carpenters, Anne Murray, and Bread and combine this with a love for inspirational music that spreads the Gospel of Jesus and you get this first release, “New Beginnings.” From the traditional country/folk “Sweet Man of Galilee” and title track “New Beginnings” to the bluegrass driven “Back to the Country” and the more ethereal sound of “King of Kings (and Lord of Lords)” and “Narrow Road”, you’re sure to find something that appeals to you. Three more tracks round out the album.

“We serve a God of new beginnings and through this album, I seek to share with everyone that the blood of Jesus can give anyone a ‘New Beginning,’” said Hughes.
