Mena took the opening kickoff and marched 62 yards in seven plays to score on a Zane Stephens 21 yard run. Jetzai Hernandez kicked the extra point to put Mena on top 7-0.
With 1:52 left in the first half, Mena’s Jake Wiles rumbled 32 yards for a touchdown. The extra point failed, leaving the score 13-0 at the half.
The Junior Cobras got on the scoreboard at the 6:12 mark in the third quarter on a 36 yard touchdown run. The 2-point conversion attempt failed, leaving the score 13-6.

With 2:04 remaining in the third quarter, Stephens went 38 yards for a touchdown. With the Hernandez extra point, Mena took a commanding 26-6 lead.
Fountain Lake added a touchdown on a 33 yard run with five seconds left in the quarter. With the 2-point conversion, the final score was set at Mena 26, Fountain Lake 14.
