The Mena Lions Club will host a Gun & Knife Show at the Polk County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, April 1st and 2nd, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event is open to the public with admission being $5 for ages 13 & up. Polk County Law Enforcement are offered free admission.
Vendors will have displays and will offer chances to buy, sell, and trade guns, knives, and other outdoor items. No item sales or activities will be in violation of federal, state, or local laws.
Also at the show, the Mena Lioness Lions will host a Fried Pie and Bake Sale Fundraiser. The fried pies were a sell-out hit at the last show, and the ladies hope to keep up with the high demand this time around. They will also offer cakes, cookies, and more individual confections. Pre-orders are being taken for the fried pies as well. Call in your order prior to the event at 479-234-0646 or 479-234-1351, or give it to any Lioness member.
The Lions Club is also selling raffle tickets on a Ruger American Rifle Ranch 300 BLK with a 16 inch threaded barrel. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Tickets can be purchased from any Lions Club members. The Lions Club meets on Fridays at noon at the Lions Clubhouse on Hwy. 71 South in Mena.
