Tuesday, October 3rd, the Mena Bearcats Golf team competed in the 4A State Golf Tournament in Weber Springs, to cap off the golf season for all the local teams.
In the 4A State Golf Tournament, the Bearcats placed fifth overall. Before competing in the State Tournament, the Bearcat Golfers placed first in the 7-4A District Tournament.
The Acorn Lady Tigers golf team finished eighth overall in the 1A State Golf Tournament to finish off their season.
Local golfers Daniel Davis and Austin Johnston both of Mena received All-State honors. Congratulations to them both, along with all of the local golf teams in Polk County.
