SUBMITTED –

The Mena ladies of the Captain William Harrison Earp Chapter 2718 attended their first luncheon celebrating Lee/Jackson/Maury Birthdays, during January in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The guest speaker was Dr. Samuel E. Mitchum, Jr., author of over 40 books, appearances on the History Channel, a visiting professor at West Point, and former professor at Henderson State University. Professor Mitchum presented an entertaining program on Nathan Bedford Forrest using information from his book, Bust Hell Wide Open: The Life of Nathan Bedford Forrest.

The Texarkana UDC Ladies served as hostess and provided a wonderful luncheon.
