Polk County Assessor Jovan Thomas has announced her plans to open two mobile offices to bring added convenience to county residents in assessing their property for 2017.
The first will be held Tuesday, February 28 at the Cossatot Senior Center in Wickes. Thomas explained that she and her department will be there “when the doors open” and South Polk County residents will be able to come in and assess their personal property. “We’ll also make sure that homeowners are receiving their Homestead Tax Credit on their principal place of residence,” explained Thomas.
Thomas plans a second mobile site in Mena on March 16 to be held at the Mena/Polk County Senior Center. Thomas expressed her appreciation to both of the county’s Senior Center for agreeing to host these events.
“We truly enjoying serving the people of our county and hope to see everyone there!”
