Mena Regional Health System has welcomed their new Emergency Department Director, Tammy Harrison, R.N. She has worked in the medical field for 23 years, the last 13 as an emergency room nurse. She has served as an ER nurse for MRHS for 6 ½ years. Harrison received her nursing degree from Garland County Community College.
In addition to her director position, Harrison is also a TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Instructor for emergency nurses in the state of Arkansas. Her main focus has always been direct patient care, but she has become involved with administrative duties as well.
Tammy has been instrumental in assisting to establish new policies and procedures for the emergency department and hospital. “I am committed to providing this area with quality emergency care. I love what I do and I have found my home at MRHS,” Tammy Harrison, ER Director.
