[MENA] In honor of National Volunteer Week, Mena Regional Health System treated all volunteers to a luncheon at The Limetree Restaurant in Mena. The volunteers enjoyed special entertainment by Little Miss Polk County, Savannah Levering, and many awards were presented. The Volunteers of the Year included; Marilyn Davenport, Auxiliary, Laura Keaton, Front Entrance Volunteer and Kim Hurst, Surgery Department Volunteer.
Tim Bowen, CEO, spoke on how vital our volunteers are to the success of our hospital and stated that it simply couldn’t be done without their service. “We appreciate you every day, but today we honor you. Not only do you provide assistance to our patients, but you show compassion to their families during a time of uncertainty and concern.” Presenting the awards were Dr. Dick Black and Linda Johnson, both active volunteers for Mena Regional Health System.
