Mena Mayor George McKee signed a proclamation on Thursday, November 17, 2016 declaring National Hospice and Palliative Care Month in the city of Mena. The proclamation signing was headed up and witnessed by Ouachita Regional Hospice Office Manager, Melanie Morgan, and Director of Nursing, Ashley Sharp. In part, the proclamation states, “Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, George L. McKee, Mayor… encourage citizens to increase their understanding and awareness of care at the end of life and to observe this month with appropriate activities and programs.”
