Polk County 4-H Clubs invite everyone to attend their Winter Carnival that is scheduled for February 8, 2013. The event will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Commercial Building at the Fairgrounds. In addition to fun and games, information about the Polk County 4-H program will be available. Some of the carnival booths will be: Cake Walk, Plinko, Go-Fish, Face Painting, Fishing Game, and many more! From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., the Lead 4 Life 4-H Club will sponsor a dance that will be open to the public. The cost of the dance is $1 per person. Tickets will be available to purchase for 25 cents each at the carnival. The “prices” for each game/activity at each booth will be determined by the 4-H Club that is in charge of that booth. We would LOVE to see faces of youth that are not 4-H members. The extension office staff, as well as numerous 4-H youth and volunteers will be available to answer any questions you have about 4-H and the opportunities that are available in 4-H. If you are interested in getting your child(ren) into 4-H, this is a great opportunity to talk to numerous 4-H Club members and leaders about what 4-H has to offer…and have some fun!
