June 1, 2015

Arrested was Thomas J. Posey, 40, of Mena, on a Charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Warrant for Probation Violation.

Report from complainant of an alleged hit-and-run accident on Polk 72.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Polk 136 near Cove that someone had ran over a mailbox, causing $50.00 in damages.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Brandon Riddle, 23, of Cove, on Warrants for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Domestic Battery 3^rd Degree.

June 2, 2015

Traffic stop led to the arrest of Justin C. Davis, 22, of Mena, on Charges of Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License and No Liability Insurance.  Also arrested was Van L. Holman, Jr., 22, of Mena, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

June 3, 2015

Arrested was Robert D. Oden, 46, of Cove, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

June 4, 2015

Report from complainant on Polk 407 near Cove of donkeys tearing up their property led to the arrest of Joe L. Robinson, 46, of Cove, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order and a Citation being issued for Permitting Livestock to Run at Large.

Arrested was Sheldon R. McEntire, 42, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Report from walk-in complainant of being threatened by an acquaintance.

June 5, 2015

Report from complainant on Walker Farm Lane near Mena of someone dumping trash and junk on their property.  Suspect advised that they would clean up the mess.

Report from a Hatfield man of problems with child custody.  Deputy advised complainant to contact his attorney as the matter was a civil issue.

June 6, 2015

Report from complainant on Anders Avenue in Hatfield of the theft of specialty items, change and medication, all valued at $500.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Rachel D. Crow, 35, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Traffic stop on Polk 39 near the Potter community led to the arrest of Jon C. Mesamore, 38, of Mena, on Charges of Faulty Equipment, Fleeing, Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License and No Seatbelt.

June 7, 2015

Report from complainant on Polk 15 near the Hatton community of the theft of a mower and compressor, valued at $2,000.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Polk 54 near Mena of an unauthorized person and dogs on their property.  Deputy advised suspect to not return to the property.

Report from a Mena woman of a missing 15-year-old girl.  The juvenile was located and returned to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Report of a one-vehicle accident in a driveway on Polk 152 near Hatfield.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked four vehicle accidents this week.

Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 20 Incarcerated Inmates; 17 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility, of which 9 are currently out of jail on a monitoring system.
