The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of May 19 – May 25, 2014. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

Report of a disturbance on Acorn Lane in the Acorn community. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Arrested was James D. Cochran, 30, of Cove, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.
May 20, 2014
Report of an altercation on Polk 48 near the Potter community led to a citation being issued to Bradley C. Brumfield, 24, of Mena, on a Charge of No Driver’s License.
Report of suspicious behavior led to a 15-year-old Mena male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Public Intoxication. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.
Report from walk-in complainant that he had loaned a vehicle to an individual who then did not return it. Vehicle was located and returned to owner.
Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 32 near Cove led to the arrest of Rhonda B. Lenoir, 47, of Cove, on Charges of Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Governmental Operations.
Report from complainant on Diamond Rose Lane near Mena of the theft of a weedeater, valued at $70.00. Investigation continues.
May 21, 2014
Report from complainant on Reid Lane near Mena of the break-in and theft of welding equipment and collectible items, all valued at $1,220.00. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on Rosson Lane near the Ink community of the theft of 24 feet of cable. Investigation continues.
Arrested by an officer with Probation and Parole were Thomas C. Hilderbrand, 24, and Candi M. Hilderbrand, 31, both of Mena, each on a Warrant for another agency.
May 22, 2014
Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 75 near the Acorn community led to the arrest of Jeremy T. Wagner, 31, of Mena, on Charges of Domestic Battery 3rd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor 2nd Degree and Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree.
Report of a disturbance on Polk 48 near the Potter community that led to $300.00 in damages to a vehicle, and the theft of $300.00 cash and a phone valued at $100.00. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Report from an electronic monitoring company that a client had left the boundaries of their residence. Officers verified that the individual was not at the residence. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Arrested was Damon R. Westmoreland, 48, of Waldron, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Shaon D. Watts, 35, of Mena, on a Charge of Criminal Trespass.
May 24, 2014
Request for assistance from an officer with Probation and Parole on Polk 93 near the Rocky community led to the arrest of David L. Higby, 30, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Report from complainant on 4th Street in Mena of the loss of a cell phone, valued at $400.00.
Report of a fire on Polk 93 near the Rocky community that destroyed a camper trailer and damaged a vehicle. Investigation continues.
May 25, 2014
Report from complainant on 4th Street in Cove of being harassed by an acquaintance. Officer advised the suspect to have no further contact with the complainant.
Request for a welfare check on a possible missing person that may be located in another county.
Report from walk-in complainant of the loss of a wallet.
Traffic stop on Highway 246 West near Hatfield led to the arrest of Kristina L. Summit, 42, of Cove, on Charges of DWI and Driving Left of Center.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.
Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 31 Incarcerated Inmates; 16 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility, of which 4 are currently out of jail on a monitoring system.
