The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Scott Sawyer for the week of August 19, 2024 – August 25, 2024. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
August 19, 2024
Deputies responded to a report of a stolen gun.
Matthew Brink, 37, of National City, CA was arrested on a Theft of Property Warrant.
August 20, 2024
Jearl Wilkinson, 40, of Cove was arrested by an officer with Probation Parole on a 3rd Degree Domestic Battery Warrant and on a Parole Hold.
Christopher Thrailkill, 38, of Mena was arrested on a charge of Violation of a Protection Order.
Heather Turbeville, 29, of Mena was arrested on a Probation Violation Warrant.
August 21, 2024
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 88 E near Mena in reference to a verbal altercation.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 482 near Vandervoort in reference to a welfare check.
An incident on Polk 482 near Vandervoort led to the arrest of Jesse Saxour, 35, of Mena on charges of Breaking or Entering, 2nd Degree Terroristic Threatening, and Disorderly Conduct.
Shawnna Morris, 27, of Mena was arrested on a Probation Violation Warrant.
Deputies responded to a residence on Polk 178 near Mena in reference to a trespasser leading to Darrell Wheless being issued a citation for Criminal Trespassing.
August 22, 2024
Jereme Baughman, 47, of Mena was arrested by an officer with Probation Parole on a warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
August 23, 2024
An incident at a residence on Polk 295 near Hatfield led to the arrest of David Collins, 58, of Grannis on charges of Criminal Trespassing, Harassment, and Littering. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 159 near Mena in reference to a chicken house fire.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Delmo Lane near Cove in reference to an unattended death.
Robert Berkey, 38, of Mena was arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Police to be held for another agency.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 61 near Board Camp in reference to a verbal altercation.
August 24, 2024
Deputies were dispatched to a business near Cove in reference to an accident in the parking lot.
Deputies responded to a report of a barn fire at a residence on Tilley Road near Hatfield.
Misael Enriquez, 27, of DeQueen was arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department on a charge of DWI.
August 25, 2024
