Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 93 near Rocky in reference to a damaged vehicle. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

Dawson Briley, 26, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Hwy 71 S near Cove leading to the arrest of Brandi Howard, 49, of Cove on charges of DWI and Careless and Prohibited Driving.

 

June 30, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 624 near Board Camp in reference to mailboxes being damaged.

 

July 1, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Winter Lane near Hatfield in reference to a possible domestic altercation and trespasser leading to the arrest of Nathanial Brown, 26, of Mena on charges of 3rd Degree Assault on a Family or Household Member and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a scam.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Snowflake Lane in reference to a trespasser leading to the arrest of Katrina Sutterfield, 44, of Grannis on charges of 2nd Degree False Imprisonment, Refusal to Submit to Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Communicating a False Alarm.

 

July 2, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 233 near Cove in reference to a stolen dirt bike.

 

July 3, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to Cove in reference to an altercation. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

Braxton Kyle, 22, of Mena was arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Police on charges of DWI 3rd, Driving on a DWI Suspended License, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and four Failure to Appear Warrants.

 

July 4, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 647 near Mena in reference to an individual destroying personal property.

Deputies were dispatched to Polk 624 near Board Camp in reference to a vehicle accident leading to the arrest of Osmar Diaz, 21, of Mexico on charges of DWI, Reckless Driving, No Driver’s License and to be held for another agency.

Deputies were dispatched to Vandervoort in reference to a possibly intoxicated individual leading to the arrest of Eric Smith, Jr., 29, of Cove on charges of Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, and 3rd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 8 W near Mena in reference to an unruly juvenile.

 

July 5, 2026

A traffic stop on Polk 54 near Mena led to the arrest of Kenneth Whisenhunt, 74, of Mena on charges of DWI and Careless and Prohibited Driving.

Deputies were dispatched to a business near Cove in reference to Criminal Mischief.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 181 near Mena in reference to a welfare check.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 2 vehicle accidents this week.
