Connor Purvis was recently awarded the Harding Trustee Scholarship; worth the full cost of tuition, around $18,500 a year for four years, totaling $74,000.
Purvis had to interview at Harding before a panel. Out of 137 applicants from across the world, only twenty five were awarded full tuition. Purvis constructed a project containing a periodic table, highlighted with specific elements to infer the panel about him.
The scholarship is awarded based on merit only in the areas of Christian Values, leadership, and academic potential. Purvis plans to major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Pre-medicine, with a minor in medical missions. Purvis aspires to become a trauma surgeon.
