Rama Sue Bissell, age 74, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in Mena.
She was born July 19, 1949, in Pine Ridge, Arkansas, to Raymond Gortemiller and Addie Wilhite Gortemiller. She was united in marriage to Sam Bissell. Sue was a sales associate for Walmart for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Acorn Baptist Church. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Addie Gortemiller; husband, Sam Bissell; brother, Odell Garrett; sister, Brenda Nivens; and stepson, Chuck Bissell.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Gortemiller of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandson, Zachary Spain of Alaska; sisters, Linda Lance and Mary Harvey both of Mena, Arkansas; stepchildren, Jeanie Davies of Spiro, Oklahoma, Sammy and wife Belinda Bissell of Mena, Arkansas, Johnny and Joy Bissell of Oklahoma, Elaine Covey of Spiro, Oklahoma, Travis Bissell of Mena, Arkansas. Sue was also survived by a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation services for Mrs. Bissell are entrusted to the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
