BY BARBARA M. TOBIAS –
On Saturday, November 2, from 1 to 3 pm, there will be a reception at Mena Art Gallery, 607 Mena Street, to formally open the 2013 Christmas Gift Show.
There will be work in almost any media, including oil painting, pastels, watercolor, pen and ink, three-dimensional work, jewelry, and fiber arts. And probably at least one artist will come up with work in a category I haven’t thought of yet—I love surprises. Everything will be priced for gifts at this holiday season, so here is the place to start your Christmas shopping early.
It is also a good time to meet and talk with many of the artists whose work will be on display. I always find it fascinating to learn how artists go about creating their work.
So mark you calendar and come help us kick-start the Holidays.
