RMCC RN Students Accepted Into UAMS Program

Three graduates from the ARNEC LPN to RN Program at Rich Mountain Community College have been accepted into the UAMS BSN (Bachelors in Science of Nursing) program. The students are Shawn Dugan, Mike Butterfield, and Lauren Davis. UAMS spoke to all ARNEC students about a special ADN to BSN program they are offering this year for 30 students through a grant that will pay for the majority of their tuition, is completely online, and is an accelerated 1-year program. Charla Hollin, RMCC Nursing Director stated, “This is a great opportunity for these students and it speaks well of the program and partnership between ARNEC (Arkansas Rural Nursing Education Consortium) and Rich Mountain Community College. With this program, the students can obtain a BSN in four years and stay right here at home…1 year LPN, 1 year RN pre-requisites, 1 year RN, and 1 year BSN online.”
