Rose Lea Beck, age 92, of Norman, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. She was born on Tuesday, March 11, 1930, to Ora Holmes and Cora Bates in Alf, Arkansas.
Rose was a gentle spirit, very quiet, and never really got upset at anyone or anything. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norman for many years and took great joy in worshiping the Lord. Rose was a wonderful caring mother who always kept a loving home for her children and grandchildren. She loved to garden and cook and could make the most amazing pies and homemade yeast rolls you ever ate. Rose’s family loved Sunday dinners at her house eating all of her delicious food. Rose was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; David “DM” Beck; one daughter, Jan Graves; one grandson, Colby Graves; and seven brothers and sisters.
Rose is survived by two sons, Kenneth Beck of Eureka Springs, Noel Beck of Mena; two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Redmon of Mena, Lynn and Jerry Cogburn of Caddo Gap; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Betty Holmes of Mena, Glen and Lori Holmes of Russellville; twelve grandchildren, numerous great- and great- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Cox Cemetery in Norman, Arkansas, with Robbie Loudermilk officiating under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.

I always loved seeing Rose and DM, She was my Mom’s Aunt, (Doris Jean Smith) and all her Aunts were so special to her, I love all of you, I don’t know all of you, but so sorry for your loss. But we will see them again.
